The Hotel.
The Grand Hotel Tijuana complex was built about thirty years ago, but is still
a very impressive organisation. It is a landmark right in the middle of the
city with its twin 32 storey towers. The road outside the entrance is the
Boulevard Agua Caliente, a one way street. Behind the hotel is a very
exclusive and enclosed golf course attached to the Tijuana Country Club. The
only access is through the club. One side you have peace and tranquility, the
other a four lane busy road. There are masses of eating places within a very
short walk. Interestingly, all the larger establishments have valet parking:
fascinating to watch from the lofty viewpoint of our room.
