Trip to Tijuana, Mexico via San
Diego, USA for Marilyn to have Stem Cell Treatment at the Baja California Stem
Cell Therapy Centre.
13th to 25th July 2016,
based at the Grand Hotel, Tijuana.
Trivia.
We ate most of the time in the restaurant attached to the complex, because it
was not too far to walk and the food was surprisingly good. The multitude of
other restaurants within sight required getting across the four lane road
outside the hotel. This would have been too much of a challenge for Marilyn.
The breakfast spread in the hotel restaurant was very impressive, with an
enormous range of fresh cut fruit, fruit juices, etc. Hot choices were also
amazing, usually including various beef, pork and chicken casseroles or stews:
a whole day's meals in one sitting.
During our stay, there was some sort of youth athletics meeting and the hotel
was extremely busy at times. In fact it was a hive of activity during most of
our stay. There was a bar in the main hotel entrance that we used a few times.
Otherwise the good range of other small eating places within the complex
sufficed.
The bar in the main reception area of the hotel.
David's favourite bar for coffee, on the floor above the clinic and not too
far away.
