Day Two. 5th September.

A rest day  to enjoy the delightful Villa Maria. After a very good breakfast outside on the breakfast terrace, we were able to check cars, get our bearings and go out exploring. The view from the Hotel out to sea was spectacular and there were lots of facilities available. Marilyn and I had a relaxing and restful day, with lunch on the rear terrace. Some  of the group went out in their cars, others out walking.

The weather had started to deteriorate and storms were threatened. We had another pleasant dinner in the dining room. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and by now we were all in full holiday mode. During the night the heavens opened and there was lots of thunder and lightning. I had moved our car to just outside the main entrance to the hotel ready for loading in the morning.
