Saturday 4th June. The Wedding. Part 1.

 

    A wonderful breakfast again, followed by a spell in the lounge, before getting our finery on and heading for the Silver Sixpence. The wedding was held in the forest at the Silver Sixpence and a Buggy was provided to get Marilyn and Maritza's grandmother to the venue. The wedding itself was "alternative" with no religious theme, but various readings, and strangely moving. There was then an outside Reception, with roaring log fire and nibbles. There followed a full sit down dinner in the main hall, again with roaring log fires. The whole event was very well organised and most enjoyable. After dinner it was time for dancing and for us this became too noisy by late evening. It was impossible to carry on a conversation and we headed off back to our hotel.
