Marilyn and David's Wedding Anniversaries.

Twelfth in September 2014, on the Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club trip to Spain and Mallorca in the 1976 Daimler Double Six Avon-Stevens Convertible.

Day Four, Sunday 7th September.

The crossing from Barcelona to Palma was actually far more civilised than expected, with quite spacious cabins and wide beds. We arrived just after 7am and were soon on our way to the Lindner Hotel at Portals Nous. A very sumptuous breakfast had been laid on for us in the poolside bar. It was now time to rest and relax, although our room wasn't ready until after we had finished lunch, again at the poolside bar. We were in the main part of the hotel on the first floor looking out from the front of the hotel. The room was spacious and well furnished, with veranda overlooking the cars. We had a very pleasant dinner in the a la carte restaurant later in the evening: not cheap, but we were to discoverer that nothing in Mallorca is cheap. The service in the hotel was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
