Marilyn and David's Wedding Anniversaries.

Twelfth in September 2014, on the Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club trip to Spain and Mallorca in the 1976 Daimler Double Six Avon-Stevens Convertible.

Day Five, Monday 8th September.

A rest day, with photoshoot, interviews and rides for the local Press. There was a champagne reception in the main bar for the press to meet up with the car owners and passengers. This was a great day for enjoying the pool and the peace and tranquillity of the hotel. We had a brief excursion out to get petrol and then explore Port Portals and on to Palmanova. Marilyn had been in Palmanova in the sixties and it was quite an eye opener to see it now. The place was heaving with people and not to be recommended, although quite interesting cruising along in the open Daimler! Most of the group drove down to the Port later in the evening for dinner. We found an excellent restaurant, the Spoon, close to where we had parked and overlooking the harbour. Expensive, but great food and wonderful view out over the yachts. In fact a delightful evening - and free parking.

Champagne reception and the cars lined up for the photoshoot.

Parked at Port Portals and dinner at the Spoon Restaurant.
