Marilyn and David's Wedding Anniversaries.
Eighth, in September 2010, on the Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club
trip to Croatia in the 1976 Daimler Avon-Stevens Convertible.
Wednesday 15th dawned bright and sunny and most of the group had set off very early on a full day trip around the islands. I’m not very good on boats since having had inner ear problems and we decided to explore closer to home. We walked along the coast path running west from the hotel’s beach, eventually reaching the charming little fishing village of Porat. There are various restaurants arranged around the sheltered harbour and we had a wonderfully relaxing lunch on the first floor terrace of the one on the west side. This was followed by a leisurely stroll back to the hotel and brief spell beside the pool. The themed dinner this evening was Italian. An additional twist was that each table was requested to provide some entertainment for the group. Marilyn’s description of her job as “a subterranean travel agent” certainly had everyone guessing!
